I really like the Furminator and so does my very furry Golden Retriver. I find that it is best to first brush her out with her normal brush and then use the Furminator to get to the undercoat. Plus, when you brush out with a regular brush first, you can get to the tangles which I wouldn’t recommend using the Furminator for. But it is awesome for de-shedding. She feels and looks better and people remark on how nice her coat is and about the softness of her fur. I just went ahead and spent the extra money for the Deluxe version and I am glad I did because it is so easy to remove hair from it. I’d say it’s worth it to spend a little more so you aren’t struggling with the fur getting stuck in the brush. Overall, a great product!

Had heard about this product but had never tried it because of the cost. Recently, a relative told me how great this product was. I bought one yesterday to try on my St. Bernard and my Shepard mix. This brush is amazing!!!! Just a few swipes produced more hair than what I was getting in about 15 – 20 min. of brushing with our old slicker brush. The furminator is easier to hold, easier to use, and produces MUCH better results. The old slicker brush went into the trash after trying the furminator. Even though it is a bit pricey, it is worth it!

I’ve been a dog owner my whole life and and have gone through MANY brushes. I have yet to find one that rivals this one. I only wish I had gotten one sooner!

Best brush on the market. I’ve only had it a few days but I’ve already seen a difference in my cats’ shedding (I own two). It’s also nice to be able to eject the fur easily…..a real plus when you’re not crazy about cat hair!

As everyone else says, this tool is everything it is cracked up to be. We have two domestic short hair tabby cats, and it being spring, they’re shedding a lot. So I got the Furminator with the ejection option and gave it a shot. I could not believe how much hair this thing takes off. One pass alone takes off more fur than combing their entire bodies did in the past. It’s very gentle and seems safe, both cats seem to like it a lot more than a regular comb. I don’t even see how it works so well, it is simply a very fine-toothed comb, nothing more… it’s just exceptional are removing loose fur. The only downside is that each pass removes so much fur that you actually have to take your time to really groom the animal well, the packaging says to spend 10 – 15 minutes for a cat and I believe it. You can run across the same area 5 times and still keep removing fur.

I would also recommend the option with the fur ejector. Not that I have the regular one to compare to, but so far it has been really nice to eject and remove the hair quickly, since it seems I need to do it every 2 – 3 passes.
